IronSpot is a free mobile app that maps street workout spots (pull-up bars, parallel bars, rings) shared and verified by its user community, in France and abroad.

IronSpot has a new look. After weeks of feedback, suggestions, and small frustrations you flagged, the app has been completely redesigned on the UX side — navigation, profile, access to key features. None of this would have been possible without our community: the people who use the app every day, and the ones who extended the map well beyond its starting point. Thank you.

Why this redesign

A community app is built with its community, not next to it. Your feedback — what was confusing, what was missing, what took too many taps — directly guided this project. The goal wasn't to change things for the sake of it, but to make the features you use most reachable in a single tap.

The guiding principle: every feature you use often should be reachable in one tap, without digging through nested menus.

Points & badges

Adding a spot, confirming it exists, sharing a session: these are the actions, repeated by hundreds of users, that make the map reliable. A new badge system finally puts that contribution front and center.

Explorer badge — for those adding new spots
Grinder badge — for those confirming existing spots

Each badge progresses through tiers, from bronze to legend. A small nod to a habit that benefits everyone.

Thank you to our
contributors

IronSpot started with a handful of spots. That's no longer the case today — and that's not on us, it's on you. Spot after spot, confirmation after confirmation, the map has grown well beyond its starting point, into entire regions and, now, abroad.

Every pin on the map represents someone who took the time to check a location, take a photo, confirm that others could train there safely. It's collective, mostly invisible work — and it's what makes the app genuinely useful.

Keep going. Every new spot, every confirmation, every photo helps the next person find somewhere to train. It's as simple as that.
