Moderation Policy

IRONSPOT is a community map. Its quality depends on user contributions. This policy describes how reports are handled and what rules apply to published content.
1. Content subject to moderation
Users may publish the following types of content, all subject to this policy:
- Spots — name, GPS location, equipment, characteristics, photos
- Validations — confirmations or denials of existing equipment
- Photos — images associated with a spot when added or verified
- Meetups — sessions organized at a spot, visible to invited participants
- Reports — problem reports submitted by users about a spot
2. Publication rules
All content published on IRONSPOT must comply with the following rules.
Allowed content
- Real and accessible street workout, calisthenics and outdoor fitness spots
- Authentic photos of the spot, taken on location
- Accurate information about equipment and access conditions
- Honest problem reports (damaged equipment, inaccessible spot, incorrect data)
Prohibited content
- Fictional spots, intentional duplicates or deliberately incorrect locations
- Photos not representing the reported spot (generic, off-topic or misleading images)
- Offensive, discriminatory, hateful or sexual content
- Third-party personal data published without their consent
- Spam, advertising or promotional content
- Content illegal under French and European law
3. How to report an issue
Any logged-in user can report an issue on a spot from its page, via the "Report an issue" button. The report automatically includes:
- The spot concerned (name and GPS coordinates)
- The reason chosen from the available categories
- The identifier of the user who submitted the report
Reports are sent to the IRONSPOT team by email via EmailJS.

4. Processing times
All reports received are reviewed manually by the IRONSPOT team within the following timeframes:
These timeframes are in calendar days from receipt of the report.
5. Moderation actions
Depending on the nature and severity of the reported issue, the following actions may be taken:
- Spot correction — updating incorrect information (equipment, location, characteristics)
- Photo removal — removal of an inappropriate, misleading or off-topic image
- Spot removal — removal of a non-existent, permanently inaccessible spot or one published in violation of the rules
- User warning — notification to the user who created problematic content
- Account suspension — in case of repeated or serious violation of publication rules
- Account deletion — in case of illegal content or clear abuse
6. Appealing a decision
If you believe a moderation decision concerning you is unjustified (removal of a spot you added, account suspension), you may appeal by writing to:
Please include in your message: your user ID, the content concerned and the reasons for your appeal. We commit to reviewing your request within the same 15-day period.
7. Contributor responsibility
By publishing content on IRONSPOT, you certify that:
- The information submitted is accurate and personally verified to the best of your ability
- Photos are taken by you or you hold the necessary rights to publish them
- Your contribution respects third-party rights (privacy, property, image rights)
- Your content complies with applicable French and European laws
IRONSPOT reserves the right to remove any content that does not comply with these conditions, without notice or compensation.
